Stormy Saturday

Thunderheads rolled through town today, but they didn't keep Emily from getting a lot of playing time in on her bouncer.

Biggen'

Big boy Parker came to see Emily today. Mommy regrets to say that some crying deterred any picture taking. Here's a picture from later that day (which is today still).

Worn Off

The effects of the four shots have worn off.

Emily is good to go now and accompanied mommy to the dentist today. No Emily didn't have any work done but she got to check out the dentist for possible, future cleanings.

Good News & Bad News

The good news is that Emily is growing nicely. Her Dr. visit today revealed that she's 12 pounds and 10 ounces and that she's 24 inches long. The Dr. said that everything looked good and that Emily is a 'sturdy' girl. The bad news was the four shots Emily had as vaccinations. She's OK after a few big tears. And is being comforted by mommy.

Wunderkind

We have an advanced baby on our hands. She turn two months old today and she's starting into the 3-6 months clothes.

I'm not sure if this will translate into 4.0 GPA's and a successful law practice, but for now it's good to know that she's growing. Mommy and Daddy are going to enjoy their Memorial Day off and are going to go to Babies R Us to get that baby some accouterments.

Great Uncle Bobby and Great Aunt Cynthia are here to visit Emily and Schneider.

Visit

Grandmommy and Granddaddy are here to see Emily (and not the NASCAR race). Great Aunt and Great Uncle Martin will be up tomorrow.

Sweet Home Alabama

Emily, Mommy and Daddy have made it home despite torrential rains and hundreds of Atlanta rush-hour
drivers.

Until daddy figures out where JVC hides their drivers for their digital video cameras, there won't be any pictures uploaded on to her site. :-( Emily gets to see her abuela and abuelo for the first time today so that should be interesting. More later.

Closer

We took one more step closer to sleeping-through-the-night last night. Emily only got up once (2am). I think she's getting more to eat and keep more in her belly so that means less hunger and less getting up. And that's good for everybody.

Bowl-A-Rama

On Thursday night, Emily got to meet a lot of daddy's co-workers at this annual bowling tournament. She stayed up long enough to get a lot of compliments and make a lot of a faces at new people, but luckily she was asleep by the time daddy shot a 56 on his third and last game.

Mommy-Cam

Mom got a hold of the camera trying to get Emily smiling. See if she was successful.

Product Testing

Emily continues to do some product testing. Her two latest products are the pacy (pronounced /passy/: noun - short for pacifier) on a string and her new car seat (which makes her look tiny).

First Mother's Day

Emily is very clever and got Mommy a card, angel bear with her name on it and a picture frame that says "I <3 Mom". Mommy and Daddy went with Emily to see Daddy Daycare and Emily behaved. We weren't those people with loud babies in movies theaters. :-)

Technical Note

I've fixed the archives so this page will only show the last 10 posts. If you've missed something or want to go back to the days when Emily was younger, you can look over to the left and click the Archives button. This will take you to a menu that shows the posts grouped by month.

Explorers

As Emily explores her new bib from Gradma, Daddy explores outside and finds a frog.

And it's also tough being a baby. The daily regimen of eating and making new faces is all that a little one can do. So what does a baby do to relax? Take a nappy on daddy.

Dexterity

Emily has discovered that she has hands and feet and is experimenting with them by moving them around. Jana says she 'saluted' her yesterday and I can see why. The girls flails and gyrates to an interesting degree. They say she's getting used to her nervous system and the fact that those things on the end of her arms and legs are hers.

Interesting.

Sweeby Is Back in Carolina. Sweeby Stands For Sweet Baby. The Carolina Girl has made it back through Georgia and South Carolina to her home in Charlotte.
